Alexandre Chartogne

Alexandre Chartogne is at the head of the Maison de Champagne Chartogne-Taillet, whose traces of winemakers in the family date back to 1490 with Nicolas Taillet and then Fiacre Tailler in 1540. A know-how inherited from a winemaking past over several centuries runs through the veins of this family, which puts itself at the service of nature in order to understand their environment and to serve it. Know-how and passion are the watchwords of Alexandre, who took over the family exploitation of 11 hectares in 2006. He developed the style of the Maison towards precise Champagnes, thanks to extensive plot selections. Gestures and a reflection that are guided by transmission, by adapting the Benedictine wine work to the new effervescence and exaltation of Champagne.
