Denis and Didier Berthollier & Paul Baroudel
Denis and Didier Berthollier have been joined by Paul Baroudel and now form the trio at the helm of the Les Enrayons estate, nestled in the heart of the savoie, in Chignin. The estate’s origins date back to 1850, when it consisted of just a few grapevines and the original farmhouse. At the time, the vineyard produced enough wine for personal consumption; the surplus was sold to the bistros of Chambéry during good vintages. The estate underwent significant changes over the decades, with 1970 marking a major turning point when Denis and Didier’s parents abandoned mixed farming to devote themselves to viticulture. When the two brothers joined the estate in 1995 and 1998, they led to the cultivation of steeper plots, transition to organic and then biodynamic farming, the refinement of the vineyard layout, and sulfur-free winemaking… Today, the three men produce wines that are authentic and delicious, reflecting the purity of their environment and the excellence of their journey.
