A nose with intense notes of red fruits... Palate: pure Courtois! This is a smooth, gulpable, fruity wine, with no small amount of finesse.
100% Icaunais, the local name for the grape more widely known as Gascon. The parcel is surrounded by fruit trees, creating a beautiful ecosystem where wild grasses are allowed to grow freely. Does that get your imagination working? The vines are cultivated on a flinty clay terroir, with the least intervention possible; vine treatments are made from nettle, horsetail, flowers of sulphur and minute doses of Bordeaux mixture. Low yields, 25-30 hl/ha, matured 30 months in barrels, no new oak. Neither fined nor filtered, and without added sulphites.
