Enz Vineyard Mourvèdre - 2018 - Dirty and Rowdy
Hardy Wallace
A real standout at the tasting, with a complex, deep nose featuring notes of blueberry pie, black fruit jam, and garrigue... The palate remains fresh despite the wine’s warmth, with the tannins providing just the right amount of structure. The finish is long and fruity, enhanced by hints of cocoa and coffee.

A cuvée made from the oldest Mourvèdre vines in California... 100 year old vines, own-rooted / ungrafted, farmed organically and planted in San Benito County (in the very small appellation of Lime Kiln Valley), on very degraded soils of limestone and granite. No additives during vinification, maceration of whole grape bunches, maturation in 600-litre demi-muid barrels that have seen 15 wines. Unfiltered and unfined, with just a microdose of sulphur at bottling.
Imported into France by SARL Pur Jus.
