Familiar Mourvèdre - 2019 - Dirty and Rowdy
Hardy Wallace
This highly successful 2019 vintage reveals an even more intriguing side of the Familiar Mourvèdre; it’s the perfect wine for rainy days, with notes of black fruit, spices, and candied orange… and wonderful complexity. The palate is velvety, with perfectly integrated tannins; the texture remains smooth and light, yet the aromas are clearly present, with a long finish on a hint of pepper.

A 100% Mourvèdre cuvée, from different parcels of vines planted in the counties of Monterey, Mendocino, Contra Costa, El Dorado and Amador in California. Created from wines selected from several individual barrels, with the goal of creating a sensory map of Californian Mourvèdre! The vines are farmed organically, with manual harvesting. In the winery: maceration and fermentation of whole clusters, with indigenous yeast, a little light foot treading, and a gentle pressing. No additives during vinification, and a micro-dose of sulphur at bottling.
Imported into France by SARL Pur Jus.
