Moineaux - 2021 - Laurence Alias & Pascale Choime
Closeries des Moussis
Moineaux is, as in 2018, a Margaux that has not been "approved" by the AOC certification board... Probably because it is too delicious! On notes of red and black fruits, spices... Subtly tangy palate, digestible, very beautiful supple substance, long finish.

Blended cuvée: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc from 25-year-old vines on average, grown biodynamically and planted on gravelly soils typical of Margaux appellation. Vinification: three weeks of maceration, without oenological inputs, 16 months of aging in barrels that have seen several wines. Bottled in April 2023. Neither fined nor filtered, just a slight dose of sulphur.
Laurence Alias & Pascale Choime
Pascale Choime, a non-conformist to the bone, was a gifted oenologist who worked for a Cru Bourgeois in the Haut-Médoc while moonlighting as an artist and sculptor until she slammed the door on a wine world that has lost its way due to commercial constraints. Laurence Alias was an agricultural engineer whose true passion is for ecology and sustainable development. Her desire to touch the earth...All wines
