100% Sauvignon from 15-year-old vines, grown organically and planted on clay-limestone soils. Manual harvest and natural vinification: direct pressing and transfer into barrels right after pressing, so fermentation in barrels without settling of the lees. Aged for 24 months in old barrels on fermentation lees, in a reductive environment (= a space with little oxygen). Bottled on the estate without fining or filtration, without added sulfites.
Raphaël Saint-Cyr is at the head of Domaine Saint-Cyr, located in Anse in Beaujolais. The history of the family estate dates back to 1949, when Pierre Saint-Cyr, Raphaël's great-grandfather, settled on this small farm. How far they’ve come over the generations! The estate has now 23 hectares of vines in the Beaujolais, Chénas, Morgon and Moulin-à-Vent appellations. Respectful cultural...All wines
