An opulent nose of black fruits and blackberry, with a hint of long pepper. The palate is fleshy with beautiful structure, yet gentle and boasting endless length... Let this wait in your cellar for a few years…
Cyprien Arlaud
Cyprien Arlaud embodies the third generation of Domaine Arlaud, a relatively young family estate born in 1942 of the meeting and marriage between the Burgundian Renée Amiot and the Ardéchois Joseph Arlaud. Forty years later, in 1983, their son Hervé Arlaud took over the reins of the vineyard and continued to enlarge it. He initiated numerous changes, and by 2004 the wines of the Arlaud estate had become organic, and by 2009 biodynamic, certified since 2014. The estate now extends over 15 hectares, including Guy Coquard's vines, taken over on a leasehold basis following his retirement in 2004. In 2013, Cyprien assumed the management of the estate, assisted by his brother Romain and his sister Bertille, who is in charge of the estate’s two draught horses. All three have embraced a resolutely modern vision of classic winemaking. Wines that are always very elegant, fine and pure, and boasting the promise of ageing for years to come.
