What can we say except that it's a white wine with an outstanding price/pleasure ratio!? Highly refreshing, with mineral and citrus notes. Mouthwatering and tense, saline finish, the perfect pairing with oysters.
Antoine Delaunay
Antoine Delaunay, son and grandson of Muscadet winegrowers, is a 36-year-old winemaker, now at the head of the Delaunay Vignerons estate. A true local boy, Antoine graduated in the area, then became the vineyard manager of Daniel Bideau’s estate in La Haie-Fouassière. The classical logic of returning to the family estate takes on its full meaning in 2015, when the winemaker goes back to his roots, before teaming up with his father Philippe in 2016 on the estate. The conversion to organic had started since 2011; and in this same qualitative boost, Antoine and Philippe stopped selling their grapes to other people, and brought together the qualitative plots of the Domaine de la Bareille within Delaunay Vignerons. Today, the 28 hectares of the estate (with less than 10% of red grape varieties) are pampered, the grapes are vinified naturally, long aging on the lees is adopted on several cuvées, and icing on the cake, prices are super fair. Bravo Antoine!
A Muscadet that ticks all the boxes with notes of citrus fruits and white flowers. On the palate, the attack is lively, a juice with a fine and slender texture, saline finish with a beautiful length. The aperitif par excellence.
Armand is the nephew of Antoine Delaunay, and Louis his son. What a great cuvée for the two cousins! Complex nose with notes of pear, iodine, lime blossom... The palate is round and pure, luscious, the oak aging is perfectly integrated. Truly a beautiful interpretation of the grape variety.
Notes of raspberry, black fruit, a hint of vegetal… 2023 is sunnier, richer, rounder, and more indulgent—a juicy, balanced wine with ripe tannins. Eloïse is Antoine Delaunay's niece, a wine that could be forgotten a time in your cellar... As you’d expect – this is a cuvée for our children!
A very fresh and fruity rosé with notes of raspberry, currant and pomegranate, with a floral touch. Palate: same freshness, a digestible juice with perfectly integrated alcohol. In short, a cuvée to which it is impossible to not say oui oui!
Nose: white flowers, exotic fruits, pears, lemon. Round and creamy palate, fruity and mineral, with a hint of salinity on the finish. Really lovely, and even more so for the price!
Big big crush. Complex and powerful nose, difficult to find the Muscadet during a blind tasting. Notes of ripe fruits, honey, candied lemon, pear, mineral backbone. Volume and length are both impressive.
A tangy treat, a fresh, smooth little red fruit bonbon of raspberry and redcurrant. An immediate juice, with no fuss, pure pleasure!
A mineral and elegant Melon de Bourgogne, fresh and saline—the kind of juice that brings everyone together. Crack it open the moment thirst strikes, whether you’re with your Social Club… or not!
A beautiful discovery, unanimously approved by the team during tasting! Notes of honey, baked apple, chamomile, and a subtle hint of dried herbs. The palate is round, with an almost honeyed sensation, yet perfectly balanced—long, harmonious, and deeply satisfying.
