A powerful nose with nose of herbal notes, flavours of ripe strawberry jam and herbal tea. Palate: bright racy acidity and freshness, medium tannins, long lasting finish.
Théophile Milan
Théophile Milan has slowly been taking over this celebrated estate from his well-admired papa Henri – pioneer of sulfite-free wine in Provence and friend of Claude Courtois. The meeting of these two men 20 years ago would change Henri’s vision of wine. Domaine Milan is today a magnificent estate situated in the Alpilles mountains in the commune of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Henri was quick to understand that wine isn’t just about technique, but about helping the vine to express itself, and that no machine, process or additive was indispensable to achieve that. The estate boasts multiple cuvées, with little or no sulphur, all from beautiful parcels of vines, grown where the Alpilles mountains turn to soils of blue marl... Drink Milan and die happy.
Floral notes, jasmine, quince… A rich and fruity juice, enhanced by small and supple tannins, as well as a slight oxidative frame, nice tension.
A cuvée concocted by S(ébastien) X(avier). A rich, profound wine, with notes of black fruit, coffee and cacao... Palate: as always, there is considerable freshness – the calling card of the estate. A bottle that’s terribly easy to drink, and too quickly finished. A delight!
A deep red robe, with a nose of red fruits and cocoa. The palate is balanced, combining power and finesse, with beautiful freshness.
Le Vallon is the perfect wine for any occasion... Highly fruity, deep, with notes of garrigue and dark fruits. It's fluid and fresh, with silky tannins. An honest juice that perfectly reflects the southern spirit of the Domaine.
An extremely complex juice with floral and stony notes, fruity (pear, white peach), a hint of madeleine and vanilla, enhanced by aromatic herbs. Round and incredibly long finish, vibrant and pure, a juice which reveals an extreme delicacy.
Aromas of ripe strawberry, blackcurrant, wild blackberry, soft spices, and pepper... The palate is fresh with integrated tannins, a fluid texture, and evolving notes of menthol and black cherry. A beautiful, clean natural wine with depth and character, yet very approachable.
Deep red wine, with flashes of blue, that has been named "le Pétrus Provençal" (the Pétrus of Provence). Sublime, complex nose with notes of strawberry, dark fruits, and truffle... The palate is rich and powerful, with silky tannins, maintaining a great freshness and a long, classy finish.
A white wine like you rarely get to taste, and even less so at this price: ultra-expressive, charming nose of peach, mango, orange zest, and floral hints... Well-balanced palate with excellent volume and fine acidity. Now that's some sexy stuff!
