Fresh strawberry, grenadine, blood orange... A light, easy-drinking palate with a clean, slightly bitter finish. Open 30 minutes before tasting — just enough time for it to shake off its shyness and let the Sunset shine.
Benoit Guillot et Erika Mazer
Erika Mazer and Benoit Guillot are at the helm of Domaine Les Gragnotes, founded in 2018 in Paziols, Erika’s family hometown. Former sports timekeepers, after a full life in the Vercors, they were looking for a new adventure and a shared project that aligned with their values. In 2016, they moved to Languedoc, initially to retake the family home and try their hand at small-scale vegetable farming. But surprise — there were vines! It was the perfect opportunity to rediscover wine and learn the craft. With a BPREA diploma in hand and after internships at Domaine De Mena and Poc a Poc, they were convinced: they wanted to make their own wines, organically and without additives. Benoit lovingly tends to the vines, now spanning 8 hectares, and carefully oversees the vinifications to produce clean, faultless wines that let the terroir shine. Gragnotes takes its name from the occitan "granhòtas," meaning frogs — a playful nod to the nickname for the locals of Paziols.
