Damien Goulard took over the family estate Champagne J.M. Goulard in 2015. The Maison was founded in 1978 by Jean-Marie Goulard and his wife Martine, and is located in Prouilly, in the Massif de Saint-Thierry. The 7-hectare estate is planted mainly with Pinot Meunier. The exceptional quality of this terroir has been known for centuries — mentioned as early as 532 in the will of Saint-Rémy — thanks to its microclimate and beautiful South / South-East exposure. The vines have been cultivated without herbicides since 2008, and organic farming practices have been certified starting with the 2021 vintage. After completing his studies in viticulture and oenology, Damien returned to the domaine. While honoring the legacy of his ancestors — gardeners and farmers — he has forged his own path and style. His Champagnes impressed us from the very first cuvées: expressive noses, beautiful balance, and an alliance of fluidity, richness, and persistence in the glass.

Nice surprise on the tasting, an intense and indulgent nose of raspberry, kirsch cherry, marshmallow, grapefruit... Palate: a structured and powerful Champagne elevated by a very fine mousse, with a long and persistent aromatic finish.
