Charly Thévenet
Charly Thévenet, natural winemaker from Beaujolais, didn’t exactly stumble into the wine world… He grew up and nurtured his passion alongside his father, Jean-Paul Thévenet, an unmissable figure in Morgon, just like Marcel Lapierre and Jean Foillard, pioneers of healthy, living wines since 1985. As a young winemaker in the making, Charly also honed his skills in the Loire and in Italy, before returning home and settling for good in 2007 in Régnié (a bit more accessible than Morgon!), where he began delighting us with biodynamically farmed, natural, pure wines. That was almost 20 years ago! Finally, in 2019, father and son decided to join forces under Domaine Jean-Paul & Charly Thévenet, uniting 7 hectares of vines across the Régnié and Morgon appellations. A beautiful story of terroir, of delicious Gamays, but above all a story of transmission, and family legacy.
