Sébastien Charobert
Sébastien Charobert set up shop at his eponymous estate on his 40th birthday—a perfectly timed career change! A local boy from Anjou, with a degree in geology and a diploma in fruit arboriculture, he inherited his love for wine from his parents, and has always been drawn to agriculture, organic practices, and the desire to bring people together. After managing a producers’ shop, he spent 10 years working in an ESAT, supporting people with disabilities in the vineyards at Patrick Baudouin’s estate. Four years ago, the call for independence led him to buy three hectares of vines aged 40 to 90 years in Saint-Jean-des-Mauvrets. His goal? To make great wines without additives, but above all wines that remain accessible. He does nothing to his soils, mulches them, replants trees, experiments with amphorae and large oak vats… A wonderful playground for him, and a source of delightful natural discoveries for us!
