Les Plaisirs et les Jours is the first collection of prose poems published by Marcel Proust; and this bottle, it’s a bit like diving into poetry: you enter the artist’s world and find yourself wanting to return. Decanting recommended.
100% Pinot Noir, a blend of two plots from the appellation: Les Vermots (0.18 ha), 80-year-old vines on a steep south-facing slope, and Les Peuillets (0.13 ha), also 80-year-old vines, facing east, with a small part classified as Premier Cru. The soils are light and reddish. Separate vinifications for both plots, keeping 80% whole clusters. Aged for 10 months in used barrels, blended a month before bottling without fining or filtration, with a minimal sulfur dose.
