Ripasso - 2015 et 2020 - Brendon Keys
A wine that always elicits a "wow" upon opening – a powerful nose with notes of violet, amarena cherry, wild herbs, and maquis... Taste it blind, and one would almost think it was Italian! Supple and suave on the palate, lovely texture, and a long, velvety finish. One of our favourites.

This cuvée was vinified in a unique way, inspired by the Italian Ripasso method, which involves the refermentation of a wine over lees. In this case, a wine produced from Syrah in 2015 and matured in barrels, is fermented again thanks to the addition of lees that had been set aside for two years, and some freshly pressed Pinot Noir from 2020. The goal is to produce something truly new from the basic things you already have, like making "gold from base metals". Mission Ripasso is an alchemical success!
