Blend: 40% Merlot from 25-year-old vines planted on sandy soils on top of a hill facing the ocean and exposed to a strong maritime breeze, 40% Syrah from vines planted on red clay soils at McLaren Vale, and 20% Pinot Noir planted in the heart of the Piccadilly Valley. Vinification: the three grape varieties are vinified separately, with carbonic maceration of whole bunches for 10 days, maturation in barrels that have seen several wines, and blending at bottling. Neither fined nor filtered, and no added sulphites.
