With citrus aromas and herbaceous notes of juniper and anise, enhanced by rhubarb and red berries, this is a truly indulgent gin. It’s clean and fresh on the palate, with a finish that offers a slightly spicy note. This is a distilled dry gin, with no added sugar, that pairs perfectly with tonic as an aperitif.

A French Gin produced from French whole wheat alcohol, distilled in small traditional Charentais copper stills, in which 19 aromatic plants macerate, such as juniper berries, iris roots, almond, fennel, star anise, lemon and orange peel, cardamom, violet, Sichuan pepper… For this “red” edition, rhubarb, cranberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, and blueberry join the composition. Alexandre Gabriel, the master distiller, has developed and patented a progressive infusion process, which allows each botanical ingredient to be infused according to its aromatic composition. A distilled dry gin, bottled without added sugar.
Citadelle is a Gin produced in the South-West of France since 1996 for Maison Ferrand, precisely at Château de Bonbonnet. With its experience in the world of distillation, Maison Ferrand is also committed to bottling French and local terroir. Indeed, the juniper berries that make up the aromatic framework come from some 9 hectares of junipers planted in front of the Château, i.e. some 2,500 trees! The Citadelle Gin has therefore celebrated its 25th anniversary, and is now widely recognized and rewarded, since it has received more than 60 medals, including "Spirit of the Year" prize by the World Spirits Award in 2017.
