A beautiful Chardonnay, with a nose reminiscent of Burgundy, featuring notes of pear, peach, almond, and lemon zest. On the palate, it is full-bodied, supple, coating, buttery, and perfectly balanced by its minerality. The finish is enveloping with a hint of oxidative notes.

100% Chardonnay from 70-year-old vines, farmed organically and planted on clay-limestone soils resting on limestone marl; this is the exceptional, west-facing plot of Lachassagne. Vinification: direct pressing, indigenous yeasts; malolactic fermentation is completed. No racking; the wine is aged on full lees for 24 months in a reductive environment (an environment with little oxygen) in barrels that have previously held other wines. Bottled at the estate without fining or filtration, and with no added sulfur.
