Thibaut Brémont

Thibaut Brémont, 58 years old, is the son of Bernard Brémont and has been running Champagne Bernard Brémont since 2012, following his father’s retirement. Founded in 1965 by Michèle and Bernard Brémont, this is a young but resolutely family-run House. Thibaut (who, fun fact, is the same age as the Beurys parcel — planted by his parents while Michèle was already pregnant!) was quite literally born into it, and joined the estate straight after completing his studies in viticulture and oenology. Based in Ambonnay, on the southeastern slopes of the Montagne de Reims, the estate owns 15 hectares — all classified Grand Cru. Pinot Noir is the main grape here, thriving in chalky soils and basking in excellent sunlight, yielding beautifully expressive Champagnes, from extra-brut to demi-sec. Since 2017, the estate’s 15 hectares have been certified HVE and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne.
