No surprise — this one’s a little bombshell. Think lemon meringue tart, orange blossom, vanilla, brioche, and crisp Granny Smith apple. The palate delivers just as much class and complexity: sharp on the attack, creamy in texture, with a long, gently saffron-tinged finish.
Cécile et Vincent Bauchet
Cécile and Vincent Bauchet are the couple behind the new generation at Champagne Pertois-Moriset. Based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Pertois-Moriset has always been a family-run and proudly independent house. The story begins with the union of Yves Pertois and Janine Moriset — the son and daughter of two long-standing winegrowing families of the Côte des Blancs. Today, the 20-hectare estate, planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and spread between the Côte des Blancs and the Coteaux du Sézannais, is run by Cécile, granddaughter of the founders, with her husband Vincent by her side. Their range of Champagnes, once deliberately concise, is now expanding — with a growing focus on lieux-dits and single-village expressions. Definitely one to watch!
