A nose of morello cherry and prunes with floral notes evoking rose and violet. The palate is silky and velvety, fruity and spicy, with body, beautiful volume, and a long finish.
A blend of 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato di Vittoria, from 25-year-old vines farmed organically and planted on red limestone and silica soils at an altitude of 240 metres. Located in the region of Vittoria, in southeast Sicily, close to the Azienda COS. The grapes are harvested by hand at the beginning of October 2020, followed by maceration in vats with indigenous yeasts, gentle pressing, maturation in Slavonian barrels that have seen several wines, and finally ageing in bottles.
