100% Sangiovese from 25-year-old vines grown biodynamically and planted on several parcels, all with southern exposure: "vigna curva", "lato bosco", meaning "forest side", and "vigna leccio", meaning "the vine of the oak". Hand-harvested and naturally vinified: maceration in large wooden vats, gentle pressing, 31 months of aging in barrels. Bottled at the estate without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulfur. 20 months of bottle ageing on the estate before marketing.
