Lulù - 2019 - Clémentine Bouvéron et Gian Marco Antonuzi
Azienda Le Coste
A more serious Syrah than its little sister "Nini", with notes of jammy black fruits, soft spices and flowers. Structured and unctuous palate, lots of substance, supple tannins, long and fruity finish.

100% Syrah from young vines grown organically, planted on volcanic soils, and harvested by hand. Vinification: two weeks of maceration in whole bunches in French oak truncated cone vats, then they are crushed inside the vat itself and left to ferment on their skins for another three weeks. After pressing, the wine rests for 20 months in 5 hl French oak barrels, then 6 further months in bottle at the Estate. Not fined, not filtered, bottled without added sulfites.

Gian Marco Antonuzi
Gian Marco Antonuzi and Clémentine Bouvéron live in Gradoli, 150 km north of Rome. Clémentine studied oenology and Gian trained under such renowned vignerons as Barral and Pacalet . The young couple settled here in 2004 and started their estate from scratch, the land uncultivated but for a grove of olive trees abandoned for the last 20 years – good news when one doesn't want to inherit...
