A blended cuvée of 85% Barbera, 10% Dolcetto and 5% Ancellotta, cultivated on clay soils of the Montebello vineyard, from 25-year-old vines. The fruit of non-interventionist, respectful farming. Yield 50 hl/ha. Vinification: macerated 5 weeks, matured in 25-hl barrels for 24 months followed by 24 months in demi-muid barrels. Zero sulphur, and no filtration. In Stefano’s words: "Mounbé has a feminine personality, and is very extroverted; it’s a wine of the light. It’s extreme in every way, yet it’s able to express this softly and sweetly."
