Les Clos Forènes - 2024 - Domaine des Sables Verts
Caroline et Hervé Malinge
There were hearts on our tasting notes... that says it all! A Cabernet Franc that is much more floral, light, and easy to drink, with aromas that make us think of Pinot Noir, and it's really very good!!! It's very fresh, delicious, and elegant, like a little candy.

100% Cabernet Franc from young vines grown organically and planted on the Clos Forènes plot (0.15 ha), which shows sandy soils. The grapes were harvested by hand. Vinification: in whole bunches for this second vintage, spontaneous fermentation, two weeks of semi-carbonic maceration, gentle pressing, 12 months of aging in old 228-liter Chenin barrels from the François Frères cooperage. Blending of the barrels, light filtration, bottling at the estate without fining, with just a micro-dose of sulfur.
