Hard to talk about Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir without mentioning Alexander Payne's film Sideways... However, Au Bon Climat has been producing Pinot Noir since 1982 – 23 years before the release of the film! Back then, Pinot was far from being the star of California wine. Organic vineyard, manual harvest in the early morning, meticulous sorting of the bunches, long maceration, daily punching of the cap, malolactic fermentation and 12 months of aging in neutral French oak barrels made by François Frères. Neither fined nor filtered.

All of the wines produced by Au Bon Climat sold on our website are imported into France by Vins du Monde.
