100% Riesling from biodynamically-grown vines planted between 1980 and 1995 in a north-facing locality, on terraced plots with sandy and granitic soils. The grapes were harvested by hand. Natural winemaking: direct pressing, the juice is moved into barrels that have seen several wines, for fermentation and ageing on total lees. After one year, bottling took place at La Grange, without fining or filtration, and just a micro-dose of sulfur.

Jérôme François settled in Ostheim in 2014. The young carpenter couldn’t resist the call of the vine and started his estate with a few plots from his grandfather and the barn of his great uncle! Late 2017, Jérôme teamed up with Yann Bury. The man grows his vines biodynamically, and works the soil not with a tractor but with two horses, Sirus and Fastochex. A flock of black Ouessant sheep...
