Le Rouge - 2024 - Novice

Yves Roy

The blend of grape varieties works wonderfully, resulting in a light, spicy red with very fine tannins, subtle acidity, and—above all—great drinkability, with distinct notes of red berries, red currants, and raspberries on the nose. You could drink buckets of it!

2024 was a year of significant loss for the Jura vineyards: this wine is a blend of all the estate’s reds vinified as a single cuvée; Yves produced only 1,000 liters from 5 hectares. A blend of Pinot Noir, Trousseau, and Poulsard, harvested together by hand and vinified together. Whole clusters for the Pinot and Trousseau; 100% destemmed for the Poulsard; three weeks of maceration in fiber tanks, followed by pressing and aging in the same tanks. Bottled in the spring of 2025, without fining or filtration, and with no added sulfites.
