A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, from vines planted in the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux AOC, on clay and limestone soils. Louis specializes in growing Merlot, manual harvest at perfect maturity. Traditional vinification, long maceration at high temperatures in stainless steel vats, 18 months of aging in oak barrels. The Mitjavile signature is also a specific approach to ageing, with barrels made and toasted especially for him.
