Marie-Charlotte Pinelli

Marie-Charlotte Pinelli is a name to remember in the Corsican wine scene. Granddaughter of a vigneron, she left for Paris at 18 to study architecture, but it didn’t stick. Back in Patrimonio in July 2015, her father François had just received, as an inheritance from a cousin, a small parcel of Muscat—Marie-Charlotte thought, why not! That moment marked the beginning of the Pinelli family adventure. She learned the ropes alongside her father and grandfather, interned with Nicolas Mariotti-Bindi… “That first year, I didn’t even know you could vinify any other way than naturally,” she laughs. Today, she works at the domaine with her father and her sister Valentine (born in 2001), and together they care for 6 hectares in the Désert des Agriates, in the north of the island. In the glass: wines that speak clearly of place, elevated by the unmistakable Pinelli touch—elegance, volume, aromatic length. Simply stunning.
