The exceptional 2018 vintage in Champagne reveals an aromatic, autumnal nose of candied fruits, mirabelle plum, cinnamon, honey, almond, and chestnut. On the palate: a flavorful and delicate attack, fine effervescence, and a tender finish. A perfect match with a porcini mushroom risotto.

Blend of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Meunier, and 30% Pinot Noir, from vines in their first year of organic conversion, planted on the Saint-Thierry Massif, sandy soils, southeast exposure. Hand-harvested, direct pressing, fermented in stainless steel tanks. Bottled in April 2019, this cuvée is made exclusively from the 2018 vintage. Aged on laths for 4 years, disgorged in April 2023. Extra-brut, dosage of 4 grams per litre.

Damien Goulard took over the family estate Champagne J.M. Goulard in 2015. The Maison was founded in 1978 by Jean-Marie Goulard and his wife Martine, and is located in Prouilly, in the Massif de Saint-Thierry. The 7-hectare estate is planted mainly with Pinot Meunier.
