Jakot - 2018 - Saša Radikon - Litre
Radikon
The type of wine that has this "WOW" effect from the very first nose, and dazzles throughout the tasting. Apricot, white flowers, orange zest, honey, mineral framework... The palate is round and silky, perfectly balanced by citrus aromas, with an incredibly long, salivating finish.

Jakot stands for Tokaj in reverse, which is a thumbing of the nose, since the use of the word Tokaj/Tokai has been banned for this grape variety outside Hungary. 100% Tocai Friulano from organic, hand-harvested vines, very low yields. Vinification: de-stemming, three months of maceration in barrels until end of alcoholic fermentation. Aged on lees in large 25-35 hl casks for three years, with two rackings a year. Bottled at the estate without fining, filtration or addition of sulfites.

Saša took over the reins of the estate after his father's death in 2016. A fine legacy: 12...
