40th Vintage (!!!) for this blend of 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato di Vittoria, from 25-year-old vines farmed organically and planted on red limestone and silica soils at an altitude of 240 metres. Located in the region of Vittoria, in southeast Sicily, close to the Azienda COS. The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by maceration in vats with indigenous yeasts, gentle pressing, maturation in Slavonian barrels that have seen several wines, and finally ageing in bottles.
Giusto Occhipinti is Arianna ’s uncle, but above all he is her mentor. He founded this vineyard in 1980 with two friends.
