A rare chance to taste this wine, usually reserved for the Foradori household… The label outlines the map of Georgia, and this Italian wine takes you on a true sensory journey, with notes of spices, plum, and tart cherry... with a fresh and fluid palate.
A blend of Georgian white and red varieties — Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Khikvi, Mujuretuli, Aleksandrouli, Tsulukidze… from barely five rows of biodynamically farmed vines, co-planted in the early 2000s (Elisabetta’s husband had planted around 150 varieties for study, keeping only the best). Hand-harvested at each grape’s maturity, destemmed, then six months of berry maceration in clay amphorae crafted by Juan Padilla. Racked from the amphorae and bottled directly. Unfined, unfiltered, with a micro-dose of sulfur.
Elisabetta Foradori cultivates 26 hectares nestled amidst the Dolomite Mountains, in Mezzolombardo, on the Campo Rotaliano plain.
