50% Viognier, 30% Sauvignon, 10% Grenache Blanc and 10% Ugni Blanc, a blend from vines averaging 30 years old, organically farmed and planted on clay-limestone soils from the Cretaceous, between the Rhône and the Cévennes. Grapes purchased from growers with a careful selection of parcels and close, long-term relationships. Low-intervention winemaking: direct pressing, indigenous yeasts, 6 months élevage on fine lees in vats. Unfined, lightly filtered, total SO2 50 mg/l.

Florence et Benoît Chazallon
Florence and Benoît Chazallon, partners in life and in the vines, run Château de la Selve, a 13th-century estate in Grospierres, Ardèche. Benoît was almost destined to become a winemaker, coming from the great Rhône Valley family of growers, the Delas. He spent much of his teenage years among the vines and cellars of the Rhône. Florence is an oenologist, and together they took over this family...
