Rhône Valley
La Goutte du Seigneur - 2022 - Bernard Duseigneur
Domaine Duseigneur
A label illustrated by the great Michel Tolmer is always a foretaste of good things to come! A divine wine, with a nose of crushed red berries, strawberry and redcurrant... The palate is lip smacking, thirst quenching and smooth. Seigneur means “Lord”, and this is noble nectar indeed!

A blend of half Grenache planted in the Gard and half Syrah planted in the Vaucluse, from 30-year-old vines farmed organically on clay and limestone soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, with tightly controlled yields: 30 hecto/ha. Vinification: co-maceration of the two grape varieties as whole bunches for two weeks in cement vats, followed by gentle pressing to preserve the fruit aromas, and six months of maturation in cement vats. Bottled without fining or filtration, and just a small dose of sulphur to protect the wine (35 mg/l of total SO2).
