Ilaria Bellotti
Ilaria Bellotti, humble winegrower with a big heart, is none other than the daughter of Stefano Bellotti from Cascina degli Ulivi. Stefano sadly passed away in the midst of the 2018 harvest... Many thought that the Cascina would change dramatically, missing the soul of the iconic winegrower, but Ilaria was not counting on it. With great courage, determination, and above all with the will to continue “this dream of a free farmer” that her father embodied, she takes up the challenge day after day to follow in his footsteps. Supported by a community of biodynamic winegrowers, she is also working with Filippo Mammone in the vineyard and cellar, a Roman lawyer who fell into wine by chance. Once he became a sommelier, he made a phone call to Stefano during the 2016 harvest. The answer, raw and pragmatic, in the image of the winegrower: “So when are you coming?”. After tasting the wines, there is no doubt, we can feel the Bellotti imprint in the juices, the future of Cascina degli Ulivi is in good hands.
