A harmonious and accessible Champagne, with just the right amount of complexity for all your get-togethers! Broad and flavorful on the palate with citrus notes, indulgent and white pepper hints, and a lovely creamy effervescence. A lingering finish with delicate, refreshing bitter tones.
Julien Boonen
Julien Boonen grew up in Festigny, in the Marne Valley, in a family of winemakers spanning four generations… no less! The estate, founded in the early 20th century by Lucien Meunier, has been selling its champagnes by the bottle since the 1930s under the name Boonen-Meunier. Trained on the estate alongside his father Francis, Julien took over the business with his wife Julie—who joined the adventure in 2012—and renamed it Champagne Boonen. As grower-producers, they cultivate 9 hectares across no fewer than 58 plots (a real puzzle!) in the Cirque de Festigny: 6 ha of Pinot Meunier for smoothness, 2 ha of Chardonnay for finesse, and 1 ha of Pinot Noir for character. The House's motto? “Made with Humor and Seriousness”! These Champagnes are not only an invitation to savor exceptional flavors, but also to share moments of joy and camaraderie.
