No surprise — this one’s a little bombshell. Think lemon meringue tart, orange blossom, vanilla, brioche, and crisp Granny Smith apple. The palate delivers just as much class and complexity: sharp on the attack, creamy in texture, with a long, gently saffron-tinged finish.

100% Chardonnay from Grand Cru vines on the Côte des Blancs, in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger. Natural grass cover in winter, soils ploughed in summer. Hand-harvested, with the 2019 vintage vinified 51% in stainless steel and 49% in oak barrels. The final blend is 84% from 2019 and 16% reserve wines. Bottled in July 2020 under cork (not the usual crown cap), then aged on laths and disgorged in October 2023. Dosage: 1.5 g/l.
