La... Deuse... - 2024 - Domaine Partagé
Gilles Berlioz
Complex nose of peat, graphite, blackcurrant, green pepper, and chicory… The palate is very easy-drinking, light and fluid, yet vigorous thanks to the grape variety, with a tight structure and a long, lively finish. Perfect with a nice Aosta ham or duck breast.

100% Mondeuse from Savoie, from 18-year-old vines managed organically, planted in the commune of Chignin on the Bordiot parcel, with silty-limestone soils and a southwest exposure. Hand-harvested in crates. Natural vinification: 7 days of semi-carbonic maceration with whole clusters, gentle pressing, 6 months of élevage in cylindrical fiber vats. Bottled at the Domaine with just a micro-dose of sulfur (1 g/hl).

Gilles Berlioz
Gilles Berlioz is a model and an inspiration for many wine artisans in Savoie and far beyond. The son of a worker and trained as a landscaper, he turned to the vine in 1990 with his partner Christine, starting with less than a single hectare in Chignin. And what a journey since then! The estate now covers 6.5 hectares, farmed organically and with certified biodynamics, worked entirely by hand...
