This is the first vintage of this new cuvée, with 1330 bottles produced, featuring notes of iodine, pear, white peach, and a hint of flowers... A complete and complex white wine with a streamlined body and a saline finish. Superb.

A blend of 80% Pinot Blanc and 20% Chardonnay, sourced from organically farmed vines planted on a sandy strip below the south-facing schist hillside. The Pinot Blanc was harvested in mid-September and the Chardonnay in late September (third pass). Vinification: direct, slow pressing, followed by transfer to barrels; malolactic fermentation is completed. Aging on fine lees in 400- and 500-liter barrels that have held two to four previous vintages, and in a 600-liter new oak demi-muid. No fining, light filtration, low sulfur content.

Édouard, a native of Normandy, got his first taste of agriculture at the age of 15, during vegetables harvest.
