Rouge Détour - 2024 - Philippe Chevarin

Philippe Chevarin

A very light and fruity red, lots of cherry and raspberry! Highly drinkable and digestible, no need for a detour for this cuvée of great freshness which goes straight to the point: from the glass to your palate, illico presto. A red wine without tannin, zero hassle, just love.

100% Cabernet Franc from old vines averaging 40 years of age, organically farmed, planted on schist soils and harvested by hand. This is a négociant cuvée. Natural vinification: 50% of the harvest is directly pressed, while the other 50% macerates as whole clusters for 5 days. Gentle pressing, followed by 6 months of aging in fiberglass tanks. Bottled at the end of February 2025, without fining or filtration, with only a micro-dose of sulfur added (2 g/hl).
