Olivier Lamy

Olivier Lamy is the winemaker at the helm of Domaine Hubert Lamy, founded by his father in 1973 in Saint-Aubin — and the worthy heir of a Burgundian family that has been growing vines since 1640. After studying oenology and wine business, he joined the estate in 1995, bringing a fresh, modern vision while staying rooted in the traditions passed down by Hubert. Cleaner viticulture, less new oak, wines with more finesse… that’s Olivier’s approach, and it shines across the domaine’s 18.5 hectares, spread over four prestigious Côte de Beaune appellations: Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, and Santenay. Villages renowned for their great whites as well as reds, though here Chardonnay represents more than 75% of the plantings. Since 2005, Olivier has been joined by his wife Karine, who manages the commercial and administrative side. Together, this duo of grower-producers crafts cuvées of rare distinction.
