Jeremy Seysses

Jeremy Seysses, accompanied by his wife Diana and his brother Alec, is in charge of vinification at Domaine Dujac, where he joined his parents in 1998. The estate was founded by his father Jacques Seysses in 1968 when he acquired Domaine Graillet in Morey-Saint-Denis, renaming it Domaine Dujac (a contraction of "du Jacques"). Today known as a grand monsieur of Burgundy, Jacques is actually not originally from the region, and wine was a calling him that only came after he had already started his career in the family biscuit factory. It wasn’t until the pivotal age of 25 that he decided to leave the business world to study winemaking, eventually becoming the apprentice of Gérard Potel of Domaine de la Pousse d’Or in Volnay. Today, the second generation is working to ensure the future of the estate Jacques founded, and it has certainly ushered it the right direction: converting their first parcels to organic farming in 2001, the entire vineyard was finally certified in 2011, while biodynamic practices were first introduced in 2003. Today, the Seysses family philosophy is clear: « Have confidence in the quality of your grapes and let the wine make itself »
