Chanterêves has never let us down, and this one is yet another favourite — a complex cuvée that’s already wonderfully accessible. Notes of flowers, lemon, lime, and toasted sesame lead the way. The palate is dense, with impressive volume that stretches into a long, deeply mineral finish.

Chardonnay from the Estate's vines, grown organically and planted at 470 meters above the sea, on the other of the small valley which separates it from the village of Fussey. The soils are plowed by horse. Manual harvest, fermentation and aging in 350-liter barrels, without new oak, for 12 months, thorough stirring of the lees during the summer, then a second winter of aging in stainless steel vats before bottling in February. Not fined, not filtered, micro-dose of sulphur.

Tomoko Kuriyama and Guillaume Bott form the magical duo of Chanterêves. As a couple both in life and in the vineyard, they established their Maison de vins in 2011, an haute-couture négoce based in Savigny-lès-Beaune, nowadays also an Estate with their own vines.
