A nose of hazelnuts, apricots, honey, almonds, and raisins. Smooth and balanced on the palate, with lovely volume and notes of candied fruits on the finish. A delight at the end of a meal, to be served chilled.

A sweet macvin or vin de liqueur, made from spirits distilled in 2012 in a traditional still from the marc of all the grape varieties grown at the estate and matured in old barrels for four years, which Valentin then blended with unfermented Chardonnay juice from 2016. The blend was then matured for two years in barrels that have seen several wines, and then aged another two years in the bottle at the estate before being released. Neither fined nor filtered, and zero added sulphites.
