Savagnin - 2023 - La Falize
Peter Colemont
No surprise, this wine is a real stunner! A crystal-clear nose of candied apricot, quince, orange peel, and spices… Incredible volume, tension and length, with perfectly integrated aging that supports the aromatic complexity. A sought-after rarity, and it’s easy to see why!

The only single-parcel cuvée from the estate: Savagnin from vines farmed biodynamically, planted in 2017 in the La Cabane plot on clay-limestone soils, in the commune of La Bruyère, northwest of Namur. Hand-harvested with deliberately low yields of around 15 hl/ha. Vinification: direct pressing, aged for one year in oak barrels with 16% new oak, and 8 months in stainless steel vats, on the lees. Bottled at the estate on the 4th of June 2025 without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulfur. Production limited to fewer than 500 bottles.
