One of (if not the) best Macvin produced in Jura. A dessert in itself, with notes of candied fruit, raisins, honey, toasted almonds, apricot jam... Incredibly complex!

Macvin obtained from a blend of two-thirds Chardonnay and Poulsard musts from old vines, with one-third old Marc du Jura. The alcohol in the marc stops the fermentation of the musts. The blend, which has an alcohol content of 17.5% vol., will age for another 8 years in 228-liter barrels that have been used for several wines before being bottled and sold.

Jean-François Ganevat represents the 14th generation of vignerons of his family in Rotalier, in the south of Jura. After years working as the cellar master of Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, he took over his family’s estate in 1998.
