Rotagamay or Rota Gamète: 1.5 liter of happiness... You’re going to need at least one or two friends to take this beast on! An easy drinking glouglou wine overflowing with red fruit aromas... The palate is suave, with soft tannins, and a lot of freshness.
For this cuvée produced from purchased grapes, Jean-François Ganevat and his sister Anne called on fellow winemakers who share their vision of natural wine. Rotagamète is a red wine produced from Gamay and Jura grape varieties. The vines are organically farmed and harvested by hand. Vinification: cold carbonic maceration, 10 months of aging in wooden casks that have already been used several wines. Unfined, unfiltered, no added sulfites. The wine is the aged in bottles in the Ganevat cellars.
Jean-François Ganevat represents the 14th generation of vignerons of his family in Rotalier, in the south of Jura. After years working as the cellar master of Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, he took over his family’s estate in 1998.
